Rokland Film is a Berlin-based production company. We want to help bring artistically ambitious films to an international audience. Our focus is always on the story of a film – and the passion of the people behind it.
Anja Wedell started out in physical production working with directors like Jean Jacques Annaud, Paul Greengrass or the Wachowskis before making the move to producing. After some years as a Production Executive at X-Filme Creative Pool, mainly working on international co-productions such as A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING or BRIMSTONE, she joined CZAR Film Germany in 2015 to head the newly formed fiction department. There she produced films like BIKINI MOON by Oscar nominee Milcho Manchevski (festivals: Shanghai, Sao Paolo, Istanbul a.o.), NEW MONEY by Jason B. Kohl (Tallinn, Newport a.o.,) or NAKED ANIMALS by Melanie Waelde (Berlinale, New Horizons, Sevilla a.o.). In 2025 she took over Rokland Film to produce films under her own outfit.
